Randy Lawson Concert

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 8th - it's time for the Randy Lawson Memorial Concert!

Randy was an outstanding member of our community who loved softball, loved his family, and loved his church. Randy lost a valiant battle with cancer, but his spirit lives on in the lives of his friends and family members. We've chosen to honor his desire to see God's work continue through Powhatan Community Church by assembling some outstanding musicians to provide a night of fun and great music! Last year's event was memorable - undoubtedly this year's will be the same!

We've added a new twist this year and invited a few special guests. Appomattox is an incredible bluegrass band made up of local musicians, many of whom have played professionally for years! Several guys from Appomattox call PCC home, including Don Grubb and Carlisle Bowling. They will open the concert at 6:30 p.m. - don't be late!

Another very special guest is Audrey Hatcher Woodhams; Audrey is a Powhatan native who followed God's leading to use her unique musical gifts as a songwriter and singer. She has achieved success and is well-known as a powerful and skilled writer and worship leader. It is a tremendous privilege to welcome Audrey to celebrate with us at PCC! Find out more about Audrey here and here; take advantage of the free downloads she offers on her website! Her music will bless you...

The PCC band will revisit several of our best-loved songs from the past year or two, and that's always exciting! We hope that you'll take the opportunity to enjoy the band yourself, and also to invite friends and family to experience PCC in a different format.

Tickets are on sale now in between Sunday services at PHS; they are also available at Kidazlat.

You can email concert@powhatancommunitychurch.org if you have any questions. Tickets are limited to first-come, first-serve, and we anticipate selling out before March 8th - so don't delay!
